FAQ: Medical Equipment Calibration, Service & Repairs
Absolutely. You will definitely need to have your autoclave validated even if it has been serviced regularly. Servicing your autoclave is also a very important task but is not the same as autoclave validation.
Autoclave validation is a documented process of installation, operational and performance qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) carried out to the manufacturer’s requirements and AS/NZS 5369:2023. It confirms that heat, time, pressure and steam penetration are performing correctly and reaching the required values throughout the chamber and load.
Autoclave servicing is completed in line with the manufacturers requirements to ensure things like filters, seals, sensors, pumps, and chamber are correctly maintained to avoid breakdowns and faults from occurring. Similar to taking your car to the mechanic for a service. Service intervals will depend upon the type of autoclave and frequency of use, some practices may require a service annually others quarterly.

NES Group can also test and tag regular electrical equipment in accordance with AS 3760 in the same visit to minimise disruption to your practice and managing of multiple testing companies and testing registers at surprisingly affordable rates even though our technicians are specialised, we offer this service at the same rate as most electricians and test and tag companies to make life easier for our customers.
